From the lure maker: 

"This lure was a “special order” from my friends dad Eddie Heiser. He told me to make the lure insert black with light colored shell strips and a light pearl “hat”.

He said that this lure would look dark at times and light at times as it was trolled… so it would seem to change colors. The lure works!"

Lure Maker Bio: Hank Zeevat is a  small time lure maker on Kauai. Hisfirst lure mold was a syringe from the hospital in 1978 and he was taught how to make lures from our neighbor John Duarte Poipu  when he  was 15 years old.

It's been 46 years later and he is still making lures...the old school way.
