Lure Maker Bio Eric Koyanagi learned the art of lure making from legendary Kona craftsman Joe Palacat, who mentored him and eventually passed on his molds, materials, and legacy. Eric’s father, a Kona fire chief and avid fisherman, also made lures for family and friends, giving Eric a lifelong foundation in the craft. Today, Koya Lures are recognized as some of the most sought-after handmade lures in Hawaii, with multiple granders and tournament wins to their credit.
