John Lau Lures are handcrafted big game trolling lures made by respected South Pacific lure maker John Lau of Rabaul, Papua New Guinea. Lau began making offshore fishing lures in 1980 and became known for his original lead-weighted designs, split-mold construction, and distinctive Talibung shell inserts.
Built for high-speed trolling and strong action, John Lau Lures are proven marlin and ahi lures with real Pacific sportfishing history. His lures have produced major catches at the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament, including tournament-leading blue marlin weighing 636.5 pounds and 594 pounds.
Rare, handmade, and proven offshore, John Lau Lures are sought after by serious big game fishermen, lure collectors, and anglers building a tournament-ready marlin or ahi spread.
