Bomboy’s Recommended Setup

Position: Short bait or short corner
Hook: 13/0 or 14/0
Leader: 650 lb

Bomboy fishes the Magilla as a hooked teaser using 13/0 hooks. He advises against using a large hookless teaser because the time required to clear it after a strike can cost you the fish.

Fun fact: Tsutomu Lures maker Garrett Lee told Marlin Magazine that he would run a Bomboy Magilla Gorilla on the short corner when fishing a mixed spread of marlin lures.
