About Capt. Bomboy Llanes

Each lure is handmade by Capt. Bomboy Llanes, a two-time grander catcher and multiple tournament winner. Both granders were caught on his own lures—and he only runs his own designs.

Bomboy is a third-generation Kona big game fisherman. Taught by his father, tournament-winning Captain Kenny Llanes, Bomboy has been fishing and making lures for over 50 years. Their family is part of a legendary Kona fishing dynasty.

Fun Fact: As a kid, Bomboy had to polish lures for his dad instead of playing with friends!
