The Medium Bandit was developed as a smaller version of the renowned Large Bandit, retaining all of its signature splash and wiggle but in a more compact size.
This lure is ideal for medium tackle and has become a staple on both short and long riggers aboard many boats targeting blue marlin.
While it’s primarily known for blue marlin fishing, the Medium Bandit has proven effective for catching a variety of pelagic species, including black marlin, striped marlin, spearfish, and more. Personally, I’ve landed yellowfin tuna as large as 190 lbs using this shape. While the Medium Bandit excels in rigger positions, it also performs well as a corner lure in a light tackle spread targeting smaller marlin.
