In 1981, Gary Eoff’s neighbor and surfing friend, renowned lure fisherman Captain Marlin Parker, worked with Gary to create a line of shell-insert lures that would become the signature look of Marlin Magic Lures.

Marlin’s father, George Parker, was one of the first Kona boat captains to develop artificial fishing lures. Now past its 44th year, Marlin Magic Lures has built a worldwide following for tournament-winning, highly productive trolling lures.

Marlin Magic Lures have won more tournament money than any other lures.

Each lure is handmade one at a time in Kailua Kona, Hawaii by master lure-maker Gary Eoff. Gary works on every lure, while he and 3x grander-catching Captain Marlin Parker continue developing new models and shapes, including the Ahi P, Ruckus, Pear, Big Dog, and Smokey Joe. Each shape is tested, fine-tuned, and perfected by Captain Marlin before release.
