Crampton Baits - Lures by Scott Crampton & Brian Crampton
The late Cpt Scott Crampton was a legendary Kona fisherman and lure maker. He started making lures in the golden age of sport fishing in Kailua Kona nearly 40 years ago. His lures are handmade and highly coveted by fisherman and collector Since his passing his son Brian Crampton has carried on the tradition. e has become a skilled craftsman in his own right. I n the last few years of his life Scott's workshop was at Brian's home and Brian learned first hand under the guidance of Scott. Brian's lures are branded "Crampton Baits" with the signature red and silver foil. Scott's lures never had his name, only the red and silver foil.
