Very Nice root beer tube, hand made in Louisiana by request only. This lure has the boat name Targeted Species in it which is a boat of Venice, Louisiana. Somehow it arrived in Kona. 

Justin Makaira Roper is a Louisiana based lure maker who started building lures in the late 80’s and 90s for personal use. He used to pass them out on the docks. In 2004 decided to sell them retail and founded Makaira Pulling Lures. Since then he has always been on one man operation and only takes custom orders. His lures are not found commercially.
