Cpt Bomboy caught the world’s largest blue marlin in a tournament, 1,258 LBS on his Medium Locknutt, in the off season!
Nearly 20 years later his record still stands and this was his weapon, his handmade Medium Locknutt!
In November 2003 Captain Bomboy Llanes was in the Firecracker Open tournament in Kona. November is not known as marlin season in Kona. However his medium Locknutt caught the attention of a big fish. It took 9 grueling hours to boat the fish. It was so big it set the record for the largest blue marlin ever caught in a tournament. This record still holds true today, nearly 20 years later!
Bomboy lures are not easily available and you find this one anywhere else. Limited supply and Bomboy does not pour lures often! This is a special Signature Series!

Bomboy captains full-time and runs his own lures. However he does not make too many lures so get this one while it's available.
